A few weeks ago I went to see an exhibition of feminist embroidery at the Portico library in Manchester. Since it was am exhibition, I decided to wear an art themed, rococo inspired coord. Well, never have I seen myself so accurately depicted in the medium of embroidery, check it out.
During my Paris holiday I was really lucky to be able to take a tour of The Museum of Fairground Arts. The museum only offers guided tours a couple of times a week, and there was only one opportunity to go during my holiday. Though the museum was very dark, I took plenty of photos, so please enjoy. I actually own this dress, Secret of Kells by Knight Night on Taobao, in two different colours. One day I’ll probably en devour to take photos of myself in both outfits so I can put them next to each other and make out like I’m my own twin.
JSK – Secret of Kells
Blouse, Cardigan – Amavel
Socks – Metamorphose Temps de Fille
Shoes – Hush Puppies
Beret – Kangol (vintage)
Necklace – Jane Marple
Bag – Milk
The pictures were taken in Southport shopping arcade. I think this staircase is really beautiful, and I like the way the rich colours of the chartreuse wall tiles look with the deep wine and navy in my look.
Secret of Kells gives me such a ‘scholarly’ feeling, so I wanted to do quite an academic look to go with the gown. I really like the balance and depth of colours in the overall look – and it’s so weird to not be wearing any black at all!
I know it’s a little bit late to be posting about Christmas, approximately two months late, but I have Tokyo Disney Sea photos to share!
One of the things we really wanted to do during our holiday was go to Tokyo Disney Sea while the Christmas decorations were up. We went on the 21st and it was beautiful! It was also Disney Sea’s 15 anniversary, which was crystal themed, so there was beautiful crystals everywhere.

Somehow my trip to Den Bosch and Amsterdam ended up being very quiet and peaceful. Looking back at my photos I notice a lovely thread of red going through them. I would even go as far as to call it a photo story. Continue reading
Odd thing to say, but I really appreciate how well signposted the attractions are in Leeds. I really had no problem finding my way around. While following the signs and enjoying a walk by the river, I spotted the one above. I assume it’s some kind of art piece, but I laughed and it caught me by surprise so I had to take a picture. There is something very aggressively teenage about provocative slogan t-shirts. Examples of why I’ll never be taken seriously as an adult from my own collection include;
- A tight, black t-shirt which states “PARENTAL GUIDANCE. EXPLICIT CONTENT”
- A jumper with “BITCH 01” emblazoned across the front
- Another jumper which I cover up when there’s children around that just says “SUCK A FUCK” outright.
I can’t explain what compels me to purchase such things, but I’ve gone and done it again.
Now that I’ve transferred all my posts over I can start giving you all fresh content again! At some point, I’m going to have to do the boring job of fixing all the pictures, but it’s been too long since we had an update so let’s have one.
The past couple of months have been exceptionally busy; I’ve been traveling a lot with work, everyone I know has had loads of drama, I’ve had 10,000 things to do in general so not much posting has been happening. I’m really sorry about that. This blog is usually something I do to chill out but I haven’t had the energy at all lately. Anyway.
I’ve mentioned more than once on this blog (I think) that I’m gluten intolerant. I’ve wanted to share all my favourite places to eat and what I make of new GF offerings for a while, but never actually sat down and done it…until today! I’ve also wanted to write down a comparison of all the store bought gluten free breads I’ve ever had but it doesn’t really fit the glamourous fashion thing I’m trying to do here, but I will do it eventually though because you need to know how I feel about bread! For my birthday (July 3rd so talk about late-blogging) I decided to get dressed up and hit the town – but every good party girl needs to eat and American Pizza Slice just released a new gluten free pizza so I thought I’d try it out. Here’s how I overdressed for pizza:
Top and skirt: Sonia Rykiel
Bag: Dr Martens
Lip colour: NYX Liquid Suede in Tea and Cookies
